KRCC Mission Statement
The Knox Regional Communications Center is a public safety answering and dispatching point for police, fire, emergency medical, and emergency management services within Knox County. Our mission is: serve as the communications link between the citizen and public safety agencies, accurate identification of the citizen's location and public safety response needs; fast and accurate activation of public safety services, and provide communications support and coordination for all public safety and support agencies.
The Center will provide the highest degree of professionalism possible through the development of policies and procedures as well as utilizing all modes of training available that is associated with public safety communications.
The Knox County Communications Center commits to providing a proficient and up to date dispatch facility and staff that meets or exceeds 9-1-1 Enhanced requirements as well as the demands and expectations of the citizens and agencies served. Quality of service is the ultimate goal.
